Hey y’all – every summer, I find myself obsessed with t-shirt dresses and skirts. And this Katarina Roccella Recollection Flowered Engrams knit in Delicate has been calling my from my stash…so I decided to turn the Juniper Jersey pattern into a dress!
This was like the super easiest hack to a pattern ever. I added 12 inches to the bottom of the shirt front and back, following the same side seam lines. Remember to measure yourself when adding length; I’m short, so you may want to add more length. You can also flare the side seams slightly so the dress doesn’t hug your hips.
I also added pockets - I cut 7" wide by 8" tall scraps of the knit I used for the yoke and sleeves, and interfaced them with knit interfacing to stabilize. Then I sewed them up like this tutorial, just with flat bottom edges.
And voila! With heels for a dressier look (these heels are actually a pretty comfortable pair) or with flip flops for the beach, this dress is the perfect summer staple. Get the Juniper Jersey t-shirt pattern in sizes XXS-XL here.
