Hi, it’s Eveline from Frölein Tilia, and today I’m inviting you to our Pajama Party! My girl is wearing a Snuggle Pajama top with Dreamtime Jammies pants to the party. My son is showing his Vintage V-Neck T-Shirt and Dreamtime Jammies pants. (aff links)
Do you sew pajamas for your kids? I keep hearing people say: “I would never sew pajamas, it’s not worth the effort.” I am of the opposite opinion: pajamas are our most worn garments. That’s why I love sewing pajamas.
Let’s start with my daughter’s outfit. I chose the Snuggle Pajamas top because I like the crossed neckline, it looks so cute on my girl. Since my husband is always very careful that the children are dressed warm enough while sleeping, I have extended the shirt to a dress. I just let the line run out a little A-shaped and lengthened it to size 12 instead of size 7. And to give the dress a girlish look, I sewed a ruffle on the hem.
Since my daughter loves to wear leggings, I have combined the Dreamtime Jammies pants with the Snuggle Pajama. These pants are very slim, just like leggings. Since they’re made of knit fabric, they are very comfortable.
For my son I also chose the Dreamtime Jammies pants. With him, however, I made the leg a little wider. I could have added even a few more centimeters, as he prefers looser fit pants.
On top I wanted a cool, boyish like the Vintage V-neck. The shirt was sewn quickly, although the V-neck can be a little challenging. I didn’t manage it perfectly, but I hope I will succeed with the next T-shirt.
My children love their new pajamas and if you are still hesitant, I can only encourage you: Sewing pajamas is so much fun and definitely worthwhile!
