Hey y’all – I’m back today to show another version of my Denver pattern. This is the fitted dress version with the flat neckline. After figuring out those princess seams and pockets, I knew I didn’t want to limit myself to only sewing tops. Especially because I love dresses – then you only have to think about 1 piece to throw on!
The Coach and I took these pictures in an abandoned lot we often drive by – when I thought about the pink and gray walls, I knew they would be the perfect backdrop for this dress.
I love that the Denver works in lots of fabrics and even combinations. The pink fabric has a white stars on it, and is pretty lightweight (I have to wear a slip with this dress) but it still pairs nicely with the more substantial gray jersey rib knit. The pink is the last scraps of some mystery fabric I picked up in LA two years ago, and the gray is a rib knit from Joann.
This dress is just a little too warm for summer wear, but as the weather starts to back off a tad (like to below 90 degrees!) it’s perfect.
The Denver pattern can be purchased in my shop or by using the buy now button below.
