My boys have been asking for more pajamas, maybe it’s time to take Stacey’s lead to sew more of them. Read on…
Hi! Stacey of Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy Crafts back with my first post of the new year. Maybe it’s the anticipation of winter weather, but I always feel draw to sewing pajamas at this time of year. There’s something so motivating about bulking up the kids pajama draws with warm and comfortable things to snuggle in. As I was looking through the Blank Slate Pattern choices this month, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the pajama sets. Today, I’m sharing up a pair of the Pocket Pajamas.
If you’re looking for a quick project to start off the year, this pattern is perfect. The Pocket Pajamas are a straight forward, pullover design meant for woven fabrics. The sleeve, pant cuffs, contrast waistband, and button placket are great for featuring your favorite contrasting fabrics and playing with pattern mixing. And if you’re looking to make these in the warmer months, there is also the option for short sleeves, if you so desire.
As always, the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I might be biased because Melissa was the first person to teach me how to sew a button placket, but even after all these year’s, I find her directions for sewing a placket the easiest to follow. There’s something thrilling about working your way through the steps and coming out with a perfect placket every time.
