Hello everybody,
I am Sylvia from The Ravel Out and I will be sharing my Athleisure inspired outfit with you today. One of my absolute favorite parts about being able to make my own clothes is the challenge of making something totally out of my comfort zone. This time, I made the Skye Joggers paired with the Shoreline Boatneck (aff links). I would never have thought in a million years that I would be making my own active wear but here I am, loving every moment of it.
Skye Joggers
This month’s theme is athleisure, so when Blank Slate launched the Skye Joggers last month, I knew right away that they would part of my athleisure outfit. The days have started to get warmer here on the West Coast of Canada so the mid-calf length made sense. Skye was such a surprisingly easy sew that I finished it in a couple of hours. I was proud of myself! I may have squealed and cried a little.
These joggers are perfect and so cozy, just what I need to lounge, do a quick workout, or throw on for a quick errand. My favorite thing about the Skye Joggers is their flattering slim fit look. I made this pair using active wear fleece I found at my local fabric store.
Shoreline Boatneck
To complete my athleisure look, I made a Shoreline Boatneck in this fun black and white knit fabric which I have been keeping for the perfect project. I added a neckband, shortened the shirt length, and made it in short sleeves.
The reason I love Blank Slate Patterns so much is they are simple patterns that give sewists endless ways to hack them to make them look different every single time. I am excited about what I can make next with my Blank Slate Patterns… The fun continues.
Happy Sewing!
