Hi all, I’m Becky from Be So Crafty. Like every busy mom, I am all about my clothes being comfortable. In fact, my favorite outfit is my sweatpants capri joggers and a well-worn t-shirt. I love the introduction of the athleisure movement, or as I like to call it, “the wear gym clothes anywhere anytime” movement. However, I can’t always wear that kind of ensemble, especially in the summer and in public.
In the Summer, we live at parks and pools, so when I am not donning a swimsuit at the pool, I want something cute but comfortable (like sweatpants joggers) for those park days…and the frequent Target trips. I’ve also started going back to college and can’t really wear the “busy mom” attire at the University.
I made these Skye Joggers (aff link) from Blank Slate Patterns and LOVE them! Because I chose to make them out of stretchy denim fabric, I still get the comfort of joggers, but look like I put a little effort into getting ready for my day.
When making the joggers I followed the pattern exactly, except for one thing: I decided to leave the leg cuffs off because the fabric I used isn’t as stretchy as knit. So, I just finished the legs by using a 1/2″ hem.
You guys, these are so comfortable. You can easily use any stretch fabric and have some pretty amazing summer pants. I cannot wait to make more of these.
