Hi! I’m Stephanie, Doctora Botones on social media, and this is my post for the “Rejuvenation” month theme! When I knew the theme, I had a clear idea of what needed a rejuvenation: my closet! Sometimes there are days that, even if my wardrobe is full, I don’t find anything that I want to wear: too serious, too casual, or too hot … so what I really needed was a new outfit to be comfortable this summer and that was my style and I thought that Texana Tank and Oceanside Pants would be a perfect match!
This is my first time with the Texana Tank and I adore it. It’s comfortable, versatile, fresh, and ideal to sew a lot of them with different colors and styles. It has two versions: scoop or racer back options, and you can add a henley placket neckline. I decided to do the front scoop and combine the back scoop but keep the pleat. To do it, I cut the back to the same height as the racerback and I used the top part of the back scoop and the racerback bottom. I adore the low back hemline!!
About the pants: this is the second time I’ve had the opportunity to sew the Oceanside Pants, and I know that it will not be the last one! I would wear these pants every day at all hours, they are simply PERFECT. The pattern is simple and clever, with a single piece that includes front and back, elastic waist, and pockets with a decorative fold.
I’m delighted with my outfit and this is really what I needed to rejuvenate my closet with something new. I’m sure I’ll wear it a lot this summer!! Have a nice day!
