Love Stacey’s mash up today – see how to combine the Tee x 3 and the Hipster Henley for one unique kids look.

Hi there! Stacey of Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy Crafts here today to share with you a Blank Slate Pattern Mash-up! The October colors seem to be taking they’re good-old time here so as my Blank Slate Sewing Team Post came around this this month, I had no doubts as to what I wanted to make. I really can’t believe that it’s taken me this long to sew up the Hipster Henley, not really sure how this one slipped through my fingers but that’s officially taken care of.
The Hipster Henley is absolutely perfect on it's own but if you've been following us for a while, there's one things that's clear around here--- shirts are even better with hoods! I think it might have something to do with the fact that the boys think they can get away without mom nagging about putting on a jacket as long as they're heads are covered. Since my youngest two tend to run about 10 degrees warmer than I do (seriously, do all boys run around the house without shirts?), I really do try to hold my tongue on this issue.

The Hipster Henley comes together quickly and comes with options for both long and short sleeves making it a staple for all seasons. The cut is perfect for either boys or girls and the directions make sewing the knit, button placket a breeze.

This time around I sewed up the size 7 which give my normally size 6 wearing, FIVE year old plenty of room for growing this winter. Since I know how much this guy appreciates a hood, I cut the coordinating size hood pieces for the Tee X 3. Since it's already one of my go-to t-shirt patterns, I had this easily accessible and to be honest, when I started, I didn't know if it was going to even work, but I'm so happy to report (as you can see) that it fits the neckline of the Hipster Henley perfectly.

Now I get to enjoy those October colors any time he wears this shirt and he's happy because mom won't be nagging about a jacket for another month, at least. I'm so happy this mash-up turned out just the way I wanted.
